This injection of medication helps relieve upper abdominal pain that is most commonly caused by cancer or Chronic Pancreatitis. The Splanchnic nerves are located on both sides of your spine and can carry pain to your brain from organs in the abdomen.

Using a local anesthetic, a needle will be injection into the correct area of your Splanchnic nerve. This procedure takes about 45 minutes and can cause significant pain relief.
